I’m collecting as much information as possible on this plane. We have on flying example which belongs to the South African air force museum. I have just ordered a complete set of manuals that have been scanned onto cd from a site in the America. I would like to ask if it is possible to obtain copies of your scanned photos from your collection. I note that your caption said that they were taken by your grand farther. Did your grandfather share his experiences of operating these aircraft with you and if so would be you be kind enough to share these with me. At this stage this is for my private interest only. | Hi Georg, Auf deiner webseite läßt es sich echt verweilen. Und in der Tat ist es dir gelungen uns mit deiner gewitzen Feder zum Schmunzeln zu bringen. Wir hatten vor der Veröffentlichung lange darüber gerätselt was deine Webseite wohl für ein Thema haben wird. Wir sind positiv überrascht. Sogar so manch neues Detail haben wir so über dich erfahren. Es macht richtig spass deine Texte zu lesen. Manchmal ist es fast so als säßest du neben uns und würdest die Gschichtle selbst erzählen. Bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass du uns auch weiterhin mit etwas literarischem von Dir beglückst. | Witam z Warszawy. Trockener Humor wie ick ihn von Dir nich andsers kenne. Falls Georg auf polnisch Grzegorz heisst, hasst Du am 30. September Namenstag. Und der wird in Polen an Stelle des Geburtstages zelebriert und die Gaeste brauchen keine Einladung, sondern kommen einfach so. Allerdings kommen manche Namestage mehrmals im Jahr vor, gefeiert wird der Tag, der naeher zum Geburtstag liegt. | |
